Consultation Group
On Monday, October 19th, 2009, another page of history turned for the Canadian Malartic Project; indeed, the Community Consultation Group (CCG) held its last meeting. Recall that the CCG was formed in June 2006 from community members, citizens of the Town of Malartic and OSISKO representatives. The mandate of the CCG was to guide the relocation phase and serve as a link between the project and the residents of Malartic. OSISKO emphasizes the involvement of the women and men who gave their time to get involved in this community action. We therefore want to thank the members of the CCG for the time and dedication they have given on behalf of their community.
The following people are the community representatives having served on the CCG during the last three years:
- Diane Dubeau
- Rita Lafrenière
- Éric Robitaille
- Johanne Thibault
- Daniel Rodrigue
- Daniel Magnan
- Jean Turgeon
- Mariette Brassard, President
- Johanne Bilodeau
- Claire Turcotte
- Serge Lauzon
- Jutta Mainville
- Cathy Jolicoeur
- Amélie Foucault
- Guy Lemire, President
Recall that a monitoring committee will take over the CCG, with a mandate to monitor the activities of the Canadian Malartic Mining Project (construction, operation and closure). Please refer to the section Sustainability / Monitoring Committee for more details.
