OSISKO WINS QUEBEC « PROSPECTOR OF THE YEAR » AWARD
Osisko Exploration Ltd. (OSK:TSX-V, EWX: Deutsche Boerse) is very pleased to announce
that the Company was awarded the prestigious
« Prospector of the Year » award by the
Association de l'Exploration Miniere du Quebec (AEMQ), during the annual awards
ceremony at
« Quebec Exploration 2006 », organized by the AEMQ and the Ministere des
Ressources Naturelles et de la Faune du Quebec.

Chief Executive Officer Sean Roosen and Chief Operating Officer Robert Wares expressed their thanks to the AEMQ and to the Osisko team for the award, and thanked the residents and the town council of Malartic for their ongoing support of the project.
The prize is awarded annually to underline the importance of a new discovery which has a significant impact on exploration activity on the property and surrounding region. Michael Gray, senior mining analyst at Pacific International Securities from Vancouver, wrote in a research note: « We view the AEMQ Prospector of the Year award to Osisko as a key technical and financial acknowledgement of the Osisko management team's success on the Canadian Malartic gold project. It also provides another validation that the Canadian Malartic gold district is undergoing a renaissance, led by Osisko as it pursues bulk mineable gold deposits and targets in a historic underground mining camp. »
Osisko expects to release the initial NI 43-101 inferred resource calculation on the western portion of the Canadian Malartic deposit within the coming two weeks.
