Our sustainable development objectives are focused on four key pillars:

We believe that by striving to achieve clear goals for each of these four overarching objectives, our business will grow in a way that provides long term benefits for our shareholders, our employees, our communities and society at large.

We are committed to reporting on an annual basis; 2011 is the fourth consecutive year of publication. This report is focused on two projects: our Canadian Malartic operating mine in Malartic, Québec and our Hammond Reef advanced exploration project located near Atikokan, Ontario.

We determined materiality and prioritized reporting topics through an understanding of which issues are important to our stakeholders, by sharing information we have been tracking and recording, and by following the guidance provided by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) checklists.
